Tim Hall is a social scientist with a background in human geography and criminology. He is interested in the relationships between globalisation and crime and has pioneered the application of perspectives from economic geography to the study of organised crime.

Stuart Kirby is a Professor in Policing and Criminal Investigation at the UCLan. His first career was as a Lancashire Police Officer, retiring as Detective Chief Superintendent, with responsibility for Counter Terrorism and Organised Crime (amongst other specialist areas).
