Caitlin Hughes is a Criminologist and Senior Research Fellow at the National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre, where she works as part of the Drug Policy Modelling Program to improve Australian drug policy by looking at what works, translating research evidence and working directly with policymakers. Her research focuses on improving understanding about the effects of different legislative regimes and law enforcement approaches on drug use, drug supply and drug-related harms, as well as studying illicit drug markets and their interrelationships with other forms of serious and organised crime. She collaborates with police and health agencies from across Australia including the Australian Federal Police and the Commonwealth Department of Health.
