Germán Sahid-Garnica is a senior advisor to the Joint Chiefs of Staff in the Military Forces of Colombia. He has been an analyst and advisor for different military units in the Colombian Army, a consultant to the World Food Programme and the International Organization for Migration, and cabinet chief of staff at the Committee for Foreign Policy, Security and Defence in the Senate of Colombia.
He is a lecturer in Geopolitics, Defense and Security at the Universidad del Rosario School of International, Political and Urban Studies. Also, he teaches at the War College of the Military Forces of Colombia and in the Air Force Intelligence School.
Germán holds a BA in International Relations from the Universidad del Rosario (Bogotá, Colombia), an alumnus of the International Security and Intelligence Programme from the Cambridge Security Initiative and King’s College, and a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
