Niles is a PhD student in Sociology at the University of Oxford. His current research focuses on investigating the network structures of organised crime groups like mafias and drug trafficking organisations using open-source intelligence. His research interests also include criminal infiltration of legal markets and criminal network disruption. Recent research projects have investigated organised crime groups in Germany, Italy, Japan, and Russia.
Niles holds an MSc (Distinction) in Sociology and a BA in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics from the University of Oxford.
