Pete Easterbrook

Practitioner

Following a career in forensic services within UK policing, Pete Easterbrook joined the Security Industry Authority (SIA), the UK government regulator of the private security industry. He is experienced in the investigation of crime within this sector, and has a particular interest in the extent to which organised crime groups have sought to use the private security industry as a vehicle for criminality. Pete spent two years embedded at the Scottish Crime Campus near Glasgow, working alongside colleagues from the Police, HMRC, the National Crime Agency and others to develop a range of innovative tactics based on a multi-agency and partnership approach to disrupting organised crime groups operating in the industry. Pete now leads the SIA’s Criminal Investigation Team, which undertakes criminal and financial investigations into individuals and businesses who pose the greatest risk to the public.
