Sean Michael Lundy is an NCA Officer, currently on a sabbatical and serving as Military Assistant and Senior Advisor to Deputy Commander Field Army. He has 25 years experience in the military and law enforcement arena(s), much of it deployed on operations or serving overseas as a UK diplomat in intelligence and capacity building roles.
Most recently he was the NCA’s European Firearms Co-Ordinator at Europol HQ and a CSSF Project Manager for a capacity building project in the Western Balkans. He also served as the Deputy Head of the UK Mission at Europol, co-ordinating the work of the multi-agency law enforcement team across several threat pillars. He has extensive experience of leading multi-lateral operational work against trans-national crime threats, in particular illicit firearms and ammunition. He can also draw on military experience on counter-terrorist, peace support and war fighting operations, as a commander and (plans) staff officer.
His research interests are in the area of multi-lateral operating models to counter trans-national crime. He is a fluent German speaker and can get by in Dutch, French and Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian.
